The QPC MIG is predominantly a Java application and as a consequence will function on most operating systems that support Java, including Microsoft Windows, Linux and Sun Solaris.

The Mule Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) is typically used as a container application for the software components of the QPC MIG. Mule ESB is a lightweight integration platform and service container that allows quick and easy connection of applications together. The Mule ESB provides a robust, secure and scalable platform to build enterprise applications offering an array of transports such as JMS, HTTP, Email, FTP, JDBC and many more. It also offers rich set of features for web services, message routing, mediation, transformation and transaction management. Designed around the ESB concept, Mule is the most widely used open source integration platform in the market today.
